Company Overview: We are a sawmill in Suriname, specializing in high-quality timber processing for domestic and international markets. Our facility is equipped with advanced machinery that requires top-tier maintenance and troubleshooting. We are seeking an Experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our electrical systems and machinery.
Job Summary: As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading electrical systems and equipment in a high-demand manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is an expert in industrial motors, generators, and high-voltage AC/DC systems, with a proven ability to work efficiently in a sawmill or similar industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including motors, generators, and other machinery used in sawmill operations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with high-voltage AC/DC systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to avoid disruptions in production.
• Upgrade and optimize electrical equipment to improve operational efficiency and safety.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company protocols when working with high-voltage systems.
• Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams to achieve operational goals.
• Maintain detailed records of electrical work, repairs, and system upgrades.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing facility, preferably in a sawmill or heavy machinery environment.
• Education: Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• Technical Expertise:
• In-depth knowledge of industrial motors and generators.
• Expertise in high-voltage AC/DC systems and control panels.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
• Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of industrial motors and generators.
